London Business School brings together senior leaders, academics and professionals from around the world to explore some of today's most complex business challenges.
Over more than four years, I've worked across hundreds of assignments for LBS, spanning executive education, leadership interviews, events, institutional communication and social storytelling.
Within Executive Education, my work has covered 11 programmes, exploring subjects from strategic investment and digital transformation to leadership and value creation.
The challenge was not simply to document what happened, but to communicate the expertise, experiences and perspectives that make these programmes meaningful.
The approach — finding the story in real time
Much of this work was produced while the programmes were taking place, often without predetermined interviewees or scripted conversations.
Working independently on location, I identified compelling voices, engaged with international participants and academics, conducted interviews and captured the interactions and experiences unfolding around me.
I then shaped this material through editing and post-production, identifying the strongest perspectives and building narratives that made complex subjects accessible, engaging and relevant.
It required more than technical production: an understanding of the audience, sensitivity to different stakeholders, editorial judgement and the ability to recognise a story before it had fully taken shape.
Beyond production — translating expertise
What connected these films was a consistent communication challenge: how do you translate specialist knowledge into something people can understand and connect with?
Each programme involved different subjects, audiences and perspectives. The creative decisions therefore began with understanding what mattered, which voices could best communicate it and how the story should unfold.
The objective was to preserve the substance of the expertise while making its human value visible.
This is where my filmmaking background and strategic communication practice intersect.
